7 Scriptures With Affirmations To Discover Your Identity In Christ

I don’t know how long I was standing there. Was it for 5 seconds or was it for 5 minutes? I don’t remember. Was everyone staring at me? I don’t know. But what I do know is that I had a vision. A vision that I would cherish forever. I call it “Of Sapphires, Rubies and Gold”. This vision invited me on a journey of self-discovery. An invitation that I desperately needed to accept.

I was a young 20-something living my “best life” with a negative self image. All my perceptions of who I was, were based on how other people perceived me. If people showed interest in me, then I resolved they liked me. If they didn’t, then I concluded it was because I was flawed. Blinded of my worth, I devalued myself in relationships.

Being accepted was more valuable to me than being respected. This led me into toxic relationship after toxic relationship that tarnished my inner self.

To break these patterns of behavior, I turned to the One who created me, God. I asked God to show me who I was, in him. Because clearly, I didn’t know! And he did. In 7 scriptures God spoke of my beauty, purpose, and identity in Him. With every Word, my soul was esteemed.

My hope is that as you read these 7 Scriptures with Affirmations , God will begin to show you who you are in Him .
